Sportsperson of the Month for August is Chelsea – Surfing champ
The Kempsey Macleay RSL Club is proud to support grassroots sports by giving young, local people a financial boost to help pursue their sporting dreams.
In partnership with the Macleay Argus, the Kempsey Macleay RSL Club sponsors the Sportsperson of the Month with a $100 voucher.
This sponsorship aims to recognise the achievements within the local community, giving local athletes a sense of pride and accomplishment.
Rising surf star, Chelsea Darling, has been named the Kempsey Macleay RSL Club Sportsperson of the Month for August.
Chelsea has made waves in the surfing world, recently finishing fourth in the Under-16 girl’s division at the State Surfing
Championships.
The 15-year-old’s impressive performance earned her a spot on Team NSW, where she will now train in preparation for the National Junior Championships in November.
